Background

Waxhaw is a rapidly growing community on the outskirts of Charlotte.  Town Clerk Melody Shuler came to the municipality and inherited a manual agenda management process that made it difficult to deal with last minute changes, let alone provide online access to packets and supporting records.  After getting recommendations from several clerks in North Carolina, and learning more about the paperless agenda app for council AgendaNotes,  Melody made the decision to purchase Meeting Manager Pro.

• Commissioners are able to easily review and annotate paperless agenda packets n their laptops, with the plan to move them to iPads in the near future
• Significant time savings in agenda preparation and managing last minute changes/additions to packets
• Waxhaw has become a state-leader in transparency providing easy and quick to access agenda packets and records by launching iCompass’ Transparency Portal
• Launch of Video Manager HD to webcast council meetings live on the internet
